Warren Buffett famously does an annual lunch there where people bid on having lunch with Buffett. And of course the food is absolutely top notch.

It’s owned by Quality Branded (Quality Meats, Quality Italian etc,) but has more of a classic steakhouse vibe than the more modern feel of their other restaurants. For their ribeye cowboy with bone in is the ideal dish.I've been to many NY steakhouse (many more than once) and I prefer this place. Can't stress this enough, a truly hidden gem.I found the steaks at Quality Meats to be just okay. a bit modern, apps/sides like peanut butter bacon are fun.Ended up being $300 for 2 but we had 4 cocktails and multiple appetizers All the appetizers, cocktails and sides were perfect one of the best meals I’ve had my whole life.Their wagyu ribeye is the best I’ve had.NY Mag put it at #1 in 2018, so I'm not the only one!.Porter House Bar and Grill in the Time Warner Center Waiters seemed nicer, side portions seemed slightly larger, and I didn’t feel like I was being forced to eat as fast as possible so they can turn over the table. Great Neck: Just a much more relaxed, less touristy atmosphere.I suggest martinis, shrimp cocktail, order of bacon, cream of spinach, German potatoes, steak for however many people, and bottle of their house red.If you want a “bro” place with good steaks.Peter Luger Great Neck Steakhouse & Peter Luger Steakhouse Williamsburg For my money the steak is as good as it gets, and if you want an old-school vibe, it's actually the oldest continually operating steakhouse in the US, even older than Keens and Luger. But they make a great martini and their ice cream sundae is mmm! I don't know about the wine list, unfortunately. The ambiance sitting in the room upstairs is really special and I've eaten some of my most memorable meals there.it's a classic steakhouse so not necessarily interesting from a "foodie" perspective.A better experience than the main dining area downstairs. Reserve a table in the Bull Moose room upstairs.Service was a little slow, but other than that we had no complaints at all. the food quality was absolutely fantastic. There are a number in the UK, but does not feel like a chain.I actually went to the real hawksmoor in London and it was fantastic and not as pricey. great for ambiance, service, sides, apps.I know it’s a new kid on the block, but it’s hustling harder for a good rep than the lazy ‘institutions’ resting on their history instead of their cooking. the first to have impressed me in a really really long time.If a steakhouse had a duck on the would be this. you can get a proper dry aged steak and frites there, but you really want the dry aged duck. The quality of Fogo de Chao for the price point is amazing.an Argentine butcher and restaurant in Corona is the best entrana I've had in the states.I'd rather eat bacon sides all night instead.
